Basic Trope: The sole female character in a group of males becomes aggressive toward a new female member.

  • Straight: Alice Dubois is part of the Badass Crew consisting of Barry Alin, Zachary Carter, Dorian "Black Hawk" Bacri, and Jamal Bankole. She gets angry when Zach's sister Cierra Carter decides to join, and makes every effort to belittle her despite the others welcoming her.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Moments after Zach introduces Cierra to the team, Alice lunges at her throat trying to choke her to death.
    • Alice is paranoid. She is afraid Cierra will beat her out from her love interest... Zach, who is Cierra's brother...
    • Alice begins to make out with the other guys in front of Cierra whenever she can, as a flex.
  • Downplayed: Alice dispproves of Cierra's personality and character. She is only slightly annoyed by no longer being the only female.
  • Justified:
    • Alice was battered by her mother, bullied and beaten by other girls in school, raped by her commanding officer, and bitten by her female pet dog, creating an intense, irrational gynophobia.
    • Alice suffers from low self esteem, and she copes by making other women feel worse about themselves.
    • Cierra is very competitive with Alice to the point of almost killing her, giving her enough reason to be paranoid.
  • Inverted:
    • Despite Zach's protests, Cierra joins the team, leading to everyone but Zach and Alice ostracizing her for purely sexist reasons.
    • Alice is very friendly toward Cierra when she joins the team, she even treats Cierra better than her fellow male members.
    • Cierra is the Territorial Smurfette, not Alice, and she begins to incite conflict against Alice when joining the team, in order to rid of the competition.
    • The boys hold no grudges about Cierra leaving the team, but Alice never quite forgives her for it.
  • Subverted:
    • Cierra is welcomed into the team by every member besides Alice. Alice later introduces herself as a friend, apologizing since she initially felt suspicious.
    • Alice is like that to any new member, gender has nothing to do with it.
  • Double Subverted: ... but later their relationship falls out, and Alice begins to fight with Cierra.
  • Parodied: Cierra is only one of many female candidates who quit the team out of annoyance for Alice, who would constantly shout at her, spit in her food, steal from her, flip her pillow to the warm side...
  • Zig-Zagged: Alice has an on and off relationship with Cierra who also has her moments of not liking to see another woman on the team.
  • Averted:
  • Enforced:
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: The work is an improv. Alice and Cierra's actors don't like working with each other and decide to invoke this trope. The other actors pick up and go with it.
  • Exploited: Cierra and Zach are actually spies. Cierra is meant to initiate phase one, and decides to blow Alice's dislike of her out of proportion. She then leaves evidence of her folly for Alice to find and report to the rest of the group, only for them to think she's jealous, further masking Cierra and Zach from detection.
  • Defied:
    • Zach introduces Alice to Cierra months before her recruitment.
    • Cierra doesn't join the team at all.
  • Discussed: "Why can't there be another woman on the team?" "Because Alice doesn't like other women. Like, at all."
  • Conversed: "Being the only female in a group of men comes with a lot of unique privileges and perks that a second woman makes disappear. No wonder Alice had Cierra kicked out."
  • Gender Inverted: Louis Dubois is part of the Badass Crew consisting of Betty Alin, Zelda Carter, Gloria "Black Bird" Bacri,, and Jamila Bankole. He gets angry when Zelda's brother Cole Carter decides to join, and makes every effort to belittle him despite the others welcoming him.
  • Implied: Alice and Cierra actively avoid one another and have nothing nice to say about each other.
  • Deconstructed: The team cannot handle Alice's irrational hate of Cierra and decide to kick her out the team. This only feeds into her paranoia, as from her point of view Cierra has successfully replaced her. She dedicates the rest of her life to taking revenge.
  • Reconstructed: Alice and Cierra form a Light Feminine and Dark Feminine duo that is actually beneficial to both. Some of the guys prefer the more traditionally feminine and motherly Alice while Cierra is more tomboyish and sexually provocative which is what another set of guys find appealing. This negates any romantic competition between the two and they begin a positive cooperation since they don't have the same taste in men at all.
  • Played for Laughs: Alice and Cierra begin Wimp Fighting against each other, while male members just sit back, watch, and eats some popcorn.
  • Played for Horror: Alice's hatred for Cierra grows so much that she murders her in cold blood, but not before mangling her body. The rest of the group finds this out quickly and realize that they are sharing a home with a psychopath.
