Basic Trope: A building that is very tall.

  • Straight: Bob and Alice travel to Trope Tower and looking up, they see that is, indeed, very high.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Trope Tower reaches all the way to the moon.
    • Trope Tower reaches all the way to Mars.
  • Downplayed: Trope Tower is over a kilometer high.
  • Justified: A Space Elevator needs a lot of supporting structure.
  • Inverted: Bob and Alice go inside a bunker that reaches all the way to the Earth's core.
  • Subverted: The clouds that interferes with Bob and Alice's view fade, revealing that Trope Tower isn't actually that high.
  • Double Subverted: Bob and Alice find out that traveled to the wrong tower.
  • Parodied: The building is infinitely long.
  • Zig-Zagged: ???
  • Averted: Trope Tower is as tall as a regular skyscraper.
  • Enforced:
    • "This tower needs to be more impressive, make it taller!"
    • The writers were keen on keeping the science hardish when ordered to add a cool Space Elevator and designed Trope Tower to serve as its outer shaft.
  • Lampshaded: "Oh my! That tower is sure very high!"
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: A wrecking ball comes in and attempts to demolish Trope Tower to make it shorter.
  • Discussed:
    • "That tower is so high! It must have taken a lifetime to build!"
    • "Maybe more than that!"
  • Conversed:
    • "I wonder how long they took to build this high tower."
  • Implied: ???
  • Played For Laughs: ???
  • Played For Drama: ???
  • Played For Horror: ???
  • Deconstructed: Due to the Square-Cube Law, Trope Tower collapses from its own weight being too much for it to bear.
  • Reconstructed: Construction workers and architects ensure that Feet of Clay (literally) is defied, and have weight at the very bottom in order to support everything else up top.

"WOW! Didn't knew Star Scraper was THAT high!"
