Basic Trope: Subtitles or foreign dubs of a work that add more swearing/obscene language than the original work did.
- Straight: The original English version of "The Adventures of Alice and Bob" has a scene where Alice says "oh my gosh", but the German dub changes it to "holy shit".
- Exaggerated: The German dub, "Die Abenteuer von Alice und Bob" adds loads and loads of expletives despite the original show being completely clean.
- Downplayed: The German dub changes "oh my gosh" to "oh my god".

- The German dub of the show is truer to the French book it's based on.
- The original’s dialogue mostly consisted of Gosh Dang It to Heck! to the point of Narm; the swearing made it more serious.
