Basic Trope: A powerful being takes on a smaller, more adorable form when their powers are sealed.

- Emperor Evulz is locked as a child version of himself when sealed.
- Hiro is locked as a child version of himself when his powers are sealed.
- Exaggerated: Xan'thali becomes an adorable red and black kitten with its powers sealed. The only thing that signifies that said kitten is not what it is is that its left eye glows an eerie red sometimes...
- Downplayed: Though Evulz is reduced to a teenage form, he still has some access to his powers.
- Justified: Emperor Evulz's adult form has been heavily shaped by his magic, thus returning to his original age when he acquired it whenever magically burnt out or sealed.
- Inverted:
- Emperor Evulz's adult form seals his powers.
- Subverted: Though Evulz seems like a powerful adult, that's really an illusion.
- Double Subverted: ...Yet it is his mental idea of himself, thus getting sealed means he can't express his spiritually true form.
- Parodied: When Evulz's powers are unsealed... it turns out that said powers were harmless, making sealing Evulz useless.
- Zig Zagged: Several characters get their powers ealed. Some are locked as child versions of themselves, others stay as adults.
- Averted: Emperor Evulz remains an adult even with his powers sealed, assuming that happens at all.
- Enforced:
- "You need to show how dependent Evulz is on magic. Hey, why not show him becoming a child when his magic gets sealed?"
- the console can't render more than the four active heroes and the current foes at 128x128 at 30 FPS (the rest having to make do with 16x16) and since proper rescaling would make them unidentifiable, the developers went for chibi versions to keep them identifiable.
- Lampshaded: "Wait, so were you a child all along? Kind of weird you got younger being sealed..."
- Invoked: Emperor Evulz deliberately takes the form of a child when he suppresses his powers, so nobody will recognize him.
- Exploited: Drake waits until Evulz gets sealed to kill him, and proceeds to impersonate him since Evulz' corpse is that of a child.
- Defied: Evulz works hard on developing his magic and counterspells so he'll never get sealed.
- Discussed: "Just wait until I get my powers back!"
- Conversed: "Awwww.... wait, is that Evulz?! Oh, Crap!.... I'm so screwed when he gets out of that form!"
- Deconstructed: Having his powers sealed meant Evulz lost some skill at using them, putting him at a disadvantage even when the seal is broken.
- Reconstructed: Knowing his actual skill with his powers will decay whilst sealed, Evulz mentally goes over them and even develop new techniques to combat the skill decay upon being unsealed.
