Basic Trope: Frequently having sex with people who are already in committed relationships.

  • Straight: Bob has sex with numerous married women.
  • Exaggerated: Bob only has sex with married women.
  • Downplayed: Bob has sex with a few women who have boyfriends.
  • Justified:
    • Bob gets a thrill out of seducing women away from other men.
    • Bob wants to keep his relationships on the down low, and knows that married women will keep such relationships a secret.
    • The women who Bob has sex with are unhappily married, and he wants them to have at least one night of genuine passion.
  • Inverted: Bob's wife cheats on him with numerous men.
  • Subverted: Bob has sex with women who are legally separated from their husbands; while they're still technically married, these women are functionally single.
  • Double Subverted: Bob's partners reconcile with their husbands, but still see him on the side.
  • Parodied: Bob acts disgusted when a woman who's single shows interest in him.
  • Zig Zagged: ???
  • Averted: Bob doesn't have sex with anyone who is married.
  • Enforced: ???
  • Lampshaded: "Have you ever slept with someone who wasn't married to someone else?"
  • Invoked: Alice introduces Bob to Carol in hopes that Bob will disrupt Carol's marriage to David.
  • Exploited:
    • Alice blackmails Bob with evidence of his many affairs.
    • Alice is madly in love with Bob, and pretends to be married to catch his eye.
  • Defied: "Sleeping with married women is the perfect recipe for headaches. No thanks."
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Deconstructed:
    • The husbands find out that Bob has been having sex with their wives and plan to kill him.
    • Bob becomes a social pariah after someone calls him out for breaking up multiple marriages.
  • Reconstructed: ???
  • Played For Laughs: Bob immediately starts flirting with any woman who mentions that she's married, to the point that it becomes a Running Gag.
  • Played For Drama: Bob's proclivities are shown to leave a trail of heartbreak and broken families, which he either never notices or simply doesn't care about.
  • Played For Horror:
    • Bob is most definitely a sexual predator by definition and the story makes it clear. It also shows the occasional married woman who had last-minute regrets and Bob… let's just say he did not took "no" for an answer.
    • Bob is a Serial Killer with an M.O. of bedding and slaying wedded women.
  • Implied: Bob is shown having a series of one-night stands and every one of his partners has a wedding ring.
