Basic Trope: A hero who doesn't say much about religion.

  • Straight: Amazing Girl saves the world day by day, but she talks little about religion.
  • Exaggerated: Amazing Girl is the most altruistic person in the world, and she never bother to talk about religion at all.
  • Downplayed: Amazing Girl chats with her more religious teammates about their faith but never brings up her own.
  • Justified:
    • Amazing Girl isn't particularly fond of organized religion. She doesn't want to offend those who don't share her views, so she keeps it to herself.
    • Amazing Girl doesn't have any interest in religion and only participates in religious services because her friends and family are religious.
    • Amazing Girl is an atheist, and isn't fully convinced that a god is proven to exist.
  • Inverted:
  • Subverted: AG reveals she keeps her religion secret because she follows a Religion of Evil.
  • Double Subverted: It turns out said religion just has very bad PR from a Vocal Minority, which is why she doesn't like to talk about it.
  • Parodied: Amazing Girl stresses the importance of not favouring one religion over another...and for that reason she cannot listen to Robbie Williams' "Angels".
  • Zig-Zagged: Amazing Girl flip flops between this trope and Hollywood Atheist Depending on the Writer.
  • Averted: Amazing Girl is heroic and is quite vocal about her faith.
  • Enforced: The executives won't allow Amazing Girl to be openly atheist, for fear of upsetting the Moral Guardians who happen to be strictly religious.
  • Lampshaded: "Amazing Girl doesn't seem to like talking about religion, does she?"
  • Invoked: Amazing Girl avoids bringing up religious matters to avoid arguments.
  • Exploited: The Big Bad tries to use the fact Amazing Girl doesn't bring up her faith to cast her as a Hollywood Atheist as part of a smear campaign.
  • Defied: Amazing Girl considers her profession as a hero as either an affirmation or extension of her religious beliefs.
  • Discussed: "It would be better if Amazing Girl find a religion."
  • Conversed: "They're mentioning religion on Troperville, but I hope the Moral Guardians don't boycott the show."
  • Implied: In both her Alice and Amazing Girl identities, the protagonist gives her views on every issue under the sun save religion.
  • Deconstructed:
    • Amazing Girl is called out by other believers for not believing in God (and if Alice is religious, but doesn't practice it very often, she gets the No True Scotsman treatment). Worse, overzealous believers harass and bully her because they believe she follows Satan.
    • It appears that Amazing Girl secretly lost her faith in God after her mother tragically died of cancer.
    • Amazing Girl is quiet about religion because she is appalled of the religion's questionable moral values, laws, and an afterlife where "evil" people are eternally tortured.
  • Reconstructed: Amazing Girl believes that religion should not interfere with her profession as a hero and believes that it is up to each person to decide for themselves which god or gods to believe in or to believe in none.
  • Played for Laughs: Amazing Girl doesn't bother talking about religions, even ones proven to be true.
