  • Exaggerated: The rodents are about the size of a skyscraper.
  • Downplayed: The rodents are about the size of a capybara.
  • Justified:
    • The rodents come from a planet with more oxygen than Earth.
    • The rodents come from a time period when Earth had more oxygen.
    • The rodents are a species that exists in real life, such as capybaras.
  • Inverted: The rodents are downright minuscule, smaller than ants.
  • Subverted: Turns out that the rodents are actually large dogs in disguise.
  • Double Subverted: The dogs are in disguise to blend in with the real giant rodents.
  • Parodied: The rodents are so big they can carry smaller rodents on their backs, those rodents being larger than a human.
  • Zig Zagged: The mice are the size of capybaras, and the capybaras are the size of mice.
  • Averted: The rodents are no bigger than normal.
  • Enforced: A rat just happened to crawl through the miniature city that formed the Front Forced Perspective Shot during one of the takes and the producers decided to Throw It In!.
  • Lampshaded: "Why are all the rodents huge around here?"
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: Square-Cube Law
  • Discussed: ???

  • Played for Horror: The rodents are carnivorous, and because of their large size, they need to eat a lot. The normal prey for this species is too small for the giant counterpart to subsist on, but humans are the perfect size, and the human protagonist happens to be nearby.
