Basic Trope: A character models nude for some form of visual art, such as illustration, sculpture, or photography.

  • Straight: Alice models nude for an adult figure-drawing class.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Alice, Claire, Rosita, Anjali, Meiling, and seventeen other women model nude at once. The class has quite a turnout.
    • Alice models nude using her webcam for an online drawing class, with thousands of participants.
    • Alice acts as the exhibition in a social media art installation, where she is tied up nude with her hands bound in a bustling public area, amidst signs saying "Feel Free to Stare," "Give Her A Spin," "Free Melon Tasting," and other messages encouraging onlookers to ogle her, grope her, photograph her, or suck on her breasts.
  • Downplayed:
    • Alice models nude for a single artist.
    • Alice models for a class, but only strips down to her underwear.
  • Justified:
    • Alice is a professional nude model; this is her primary source of income.
    • Alice is a Shameless Fanservice Girl, and takes any gig where she can show off her body.
    • Alice lost a Humiliating Wager, so now she has to model nude in front of her entire art class.
  • Inverted: Alice models in a costume and mask, that cover every inch of her skin.
  • Gender-Inverted: Bob models nude for a figure-drawing class.
  • Subverted: Alice cancels ahead of time.
  • Double Subverted: Alice checks out the art class, to see who they replaced her with. On her way inside, the door closes on her sundress and rips it off of her, exposing her nude body to the class. The artists begin to draw her immediately as she shrieks and attempts to cover herself.
  • Parodied: The class instructor reminds everyone that while they are here to learn from Alice's body, this class is in no way intended to be erotic or sexual, and that anyone who makes inappropriate comments to that effect or otherwise makes Alice feel uncomfortable will be ejected from the classroom immediately. He turns to Alice, and solemnly instructs her that it's now okay for her to drop her robe, douse herself in the oil they've supplied for her, and begin jumping rope.
  • Zig-Zagged: Some of Alice's modeling gigs are fairly standard, others are nude.
  • Averted: Alice doesn't take the nude modeling job.
  • Enforced: "We need more Fanservice, but don't want Alice to look like a slut. Let's have her work a job that involves being naked, in a classy way!"
  • Lampshaded: "Aren't we kind of a beginner class, for nude models? Not that I'm complaining."
  • Invoked: Alice sets up the gig with the art class.
  • Exploited:
    • Some of Alice's co-workers at her non-model day job discover that she nude models at night, so they sign up for the art class. Alice sees them amongst the artists, and rolls her eyes as she drops her robes and poses, while her co-workers ogle her.
    • Alice has been stripped naked by some Contrived Coincidence, and is fleeing police trying to arrest her for public indecency laws. During her escape, she stumbles into a class full of art students sketching a bowl of fruit. She hops in front of the fruit, and strikes a pose as though she's a model. The police run in, apologize for the intrusion, and leave. Moments later, Alice apologizes for interrupting the class, and the instructor and the students all say in unison that it's no problem, with their gazes aimed at her chest.
  • Defied: A friend suggests to Alice that she should nude model, and Alice replies that she doesn't have enough confidence in her body.
  • Discussed: "I'm learning a lot about art fundamentals, from this. Big, bouncy, firm, fundamentals, sporting big, puffy techniques."
  • Conversed: "So now Alice is a nude model, as her job." "Very artistic."
  • Implied: Bob meets Alice for lunch, and notes she's wearing a trenchcoat. When he asks why she won't take it off, she explains that she just got out of work, at an art class.
  • Deconstructed: Alice has to combat stereotypes that she must be an exhibitionist or promiscuous, because she models nude.
  • Reconstructed: Alice explains to her acquaintances that it's all for the sake of art, and there's nothing erotic or sexual about it. To emphasize her argument, she flashes her breasts to whoever questions her on this point, saying it's just the human body. Shockingly, lots of men like to question her on this point.
  • Played for Laughs:
  • Played for Drama:
    • Alice starts to develop body issues from seeing depictions of her body all the time, triggering a personal struggle.
    • Alice's boyfriend wrestles with the idea that other men get to see Alice naked, despite her insistence that it's never sexual.
