  • Averted:
    • Alice is not involved in politics or business.
    • Alice does not cut her hair short.
  • Enforced:
  • Lampshaded: "I don't wear my hair short to appear more masculine, I wear them short because it's easier to maintain, that's all. "
  • Invoked: Alice wants to be efficient, so she starts wearing her hair short for practicality.
  • Exploited: A crude or pervy male politician attacks Alice's appearance.
  • Defied:
    • Alice wears her hair long, no matter what people may or may not think.
    • Alice neatly wears her hair short and likes it, but refuses to be a politician or a businesswoman to avoid being associated with the stereotype.
  • Discussed: "Why does every important woman keep her hair cut short?"
  • Conversed: "Because women in positions of power are more concerned with efficiency than looking feminine."
  • Deconstructed:
    • Men are intimidated by Alice's appearance and position, and have no romantic interest in her.
    • There are several rumors and accusations which claim that Alice styles her hair like this because she holds an internalized misogynistic ideology, later, these accusations make her loses the election toward Betty.
  • Reconstructed:
    • Alice is Married to the Job anyway, or she marries a man who thinks Power is Sexy.
    • Alice has a different style when the cameras aren't on her.
    • Although Alice keep her hair cut short, she still wears makeup, dresses in long dress and stilettos, so the accusations become clearly false.
