- Straight: Tropetopia is run by a police organization known as the Tropetopia Police who arrest citizens for committing any crimes, no matter the severity.
- Exaggerated:
- The Tropetopia Police is very dead set in enforcing the laws to the point of beating, torturing, and shaming citizens who break the smallest laws. Any of the law enforcers would very well be Inspector Javerts.
- The Tropetopia Police has become a state religion of its own and every citizen is required to worship the police department as a whole. The department frequently executes those who speak against them, claiming that they have committed blasphemy against the Tropetopia Police.
- Downplayed:
- While not tyrannical, the Tropetopia police is very harsh in their punishments on most crimes.
- A ludicrously large proportion of the population of Tropetopia is comprised of police officers, with two percent (or more) of the population being police officers. Other than by its sheer size relative to the population, the Tropetopian police department isn't that different from any other police department.
- Justified:
- The Tropetopia Police is run by a corrupt and power-hungry President.
- The Tropetopian government feels that they're not harsh enough in enforcing the laws and that crime is at an all-time high, so they send the police to keep a close eye on the citizens, hoping that they take their laws more seriously.
- Inverted:
- Tropetopia is run by gangster who enforces totalitarian rules.
- Tropetopia is under perpetual chaos due to having no police force.
- Subverted: Tropetopia is actually a prison housing the world's worst criminals and the police are only doing their job.
- Double Subverted: Tropetopia is a prison COLONY where criminals ranging from psychopaths to political dissidents are sent and the police are doing their job for a totalitarian regime.
- Parodied: Tropetopia is a literal police state in that all the citizens are cops, with cop doctors, cop bakers, cop cops etc.
