Basic trope: In mental out-of-body experiences you're naked.
- Straight: During an out-of-body experience, Alice is shown naked.
- Exaggerated: During a mind travel to Alice's memories, she and every other person represented in her mind is shown naked.
- Downplayed:
- Alice is shown naked during the experiences, albeit retaining her accessories and/or jewelry for some reason.
- The experience shows Alice naked with Barbie Doll Anatomy.
- Justified: Your clothes aren't a part of you, so your soul doesn't show them when taking form.
- Inverted:
- Alice takes off her clothes to perform the mind travel, but her representation in the mind travel itself is clothed.
- Alice's soul is simply her clothes, looking as if an invisible human is wearing them.
- Subverted: Alice starts her out-of-body experience in the altogether, but she can create clothes at will in that plane.
- Double Subverted: But they need more focus than she has to keep them, and she is forced to go as started.
- Parodied: Alice is naked during her mind travel to explore her memories, but turns out that the people's representations in her memory can see her, causing some embarrassment.
- Zig-Zagged: Alice goes between being naked and being clothed in her mind travel.
- Averted: During her experience, Alice is shown clothed just like her physical self.
- Enforced: The author wants to show the vulnerability of the bare soul, and so that Alice's mind is a nude form of her.
- Lampshaded: "Are those travels always in the nude? This is ... weird."
- Invoked: Alice's master Charles takes her to a mind travel to show how vulnerable we are without our external constructs.
- Exploited: Bob, who guides Alice in her mind travel, is capitalizing on the matter to ogle her.
- Defied: Alice uses a spell to create the image of clothes for herself, turning Bob disappointed.
- Discussed: "I wonder if we will get nude in the mind travel ... I should have hit the gym a bit more."
- Conversed: "You think the production team will put some Fanservice in the Out-of-Clothes Experience?" "Nah, perhaps in the DVD."
- Deconstructed: The nude aspect of the mind travels is a fountain of embarrassment for Alice, which makes her work difficult and troubles her relationship with Bob.
- Reconstructed: However, over time, she gets over it and actually bonds with Bob through the process.
- Played for Laughs: The first thing Alice does upon seeing herself naked is covering her chest and crotch with a little cry. Although Bob, Sweat Drop included, assures her that they are in Barbie Doll Anatomy to each other, she is still distrustful.
- Played for Drama: The nudity in the travel reminds Alice of her own vulnerability in her past life as a sexual abuse victim.
- Played for Horror: Alice must confront monsters during her mind travel and having to do so in the nude makes her more vulnerable.
