Basic Trope: Someone who doesn't gain weight, even when they eat a lot.

  • Straight: Danny is a Big Eater, but is never shown gaining any weight.
  • Exaggerated: Danny somehow eats all of the food in the city and is still extremely thin.
  • Downplayed: Danny does gain some weight after eating a lot, but not as much as one would expect and it's only for a short amount of time.
  • Justified:
    • Danny has an extremely high metabolism.
    • Danny is always shown eating healthy food.
    • Danny has magic powers that prevent him from gaining weight.
    • Danny is The Undead, and cannot gain any weight as a result.
    • Danny always exercises right after eating.
    • Danny has a condition that prevents him from gaining weight.
  • Inverted:
    • When Danny eats anything at all, he immediately becomes the size of the moon.
    • No matter how long he fasts, Danny is never shown losing any weight.
  • Subverted: Danny doesn't seem to be gaining any weight at all, until later on.
  • Double Subverted: But that was just a Temporary Bulk Change.
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig-Zagged: Sometimes Danny gains weight after eating a lot, and sometimes he doesn't.
  • Averted:
    • Nobody is ever shown eating.
    • People only eat normal amounts of food.
    • Anyone who eats a lot of food would gain weight.
  • Enforced: The execs want Danny to be a Big Eater so they can have some Food Porn, but they also want him to be attractive.
  • Lampshaded: "Sorry, Danny, how do you stay thin exactly?"
  • Invoked: Danny uses a magic spell that prevents one from gaining any weight.
  • Exploited: Danny uses his skills to enter an eating contest.
  • Defied: Danny has the ability to do this but chooses not to eat a lot because it feels undignified.
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: "How in the world does this character eat enough for a whole football team but continue to stay thin? I have fast food once, and I end up getting a Balloon Belly!"
  • Implied: Danny mentions that he eats a lot, but he's very thin.
  • Deconstructed: Because Danny never gains weight, he ends up becoming severely underweight.
  • Reconstructed: Danny ends up consulting with a doctor and taking supplements to prevent him from getting seriously underweight.
  • Played for Drama: Danny's a heavyweight boxer, but he's always remaining just below the limit (he's around 190 pounds), but due to this trope, he's always forcing himself to speed eat and gain weight quickly, just so he can go past the limit. Every day for him is nothing but gluttonous hell, followed by brutal training regimens to turn all of the weight he just gained into solid muscle, all before it disappears on the day of his fight in one vicious cycle of gluttony.
