Basic Trope: An elderly Nazi or other war criminal in hiding.

  • Straight:
    • Alice's grandpa and Bob's neighbour Hans is a former Nazi who never recanted his views.
    • Bob's neighbour Mr. Hazegawa is a former Imperial Japanese Army colonel who participated in the Rape of Nanking.
    • Bob's neighbour Mr. Konstantinov is a former Red Army general who oversaw the Massacre of Feodosia.
    • Bob's neighbour Mr. Ahmed is a former Al-Qaeda terrorist.
    • Bob's neighbor Mr. Bećirević is a former Bosnian Serb Army soldier who was a perpetrator of the Srebrenica Massacre.
