- Deconstructed: Looking so much alike people regularly walk to Carol and ask about her sister, resulting in many people flatout asking if Alice is available and all other awkward stuff no daughter wants associated with their mother. Likewise, her parents Alice and Bob regularly have to deal with people thinking he's exploiting a teenager.
- Reconstructed: Though they look a lot alike, Carol learns to just shrug off the pervy teens who think Alice is her sister. Regarding her parents, Alice puts in the effort to visually present her age and carries around clear proof she & Bob are married.
- Played For Laughs: Alice, acting cool to Carol's excitedness, claims Carol is actually her mother, yet once Carol is addressed as such she turns to Alice who is sprouting an amused smile at her daughter.

- Drake, not realizing Alice has a daughter, confronts Carol about his old feelings for her... Which merely causes Carol to be weirded out and deny knowing him, with her 'denial' of their past becoming the catalyst for his Start of Darkness.
