Basic Trope: A person with more experience in sex and/or romance pursues someone with little to no knowledge thereof.
- Straight: Alice has had several relationships. She pursues Bob, who is a virgin.
- Exaggerated: Alice is The Vamp who Really Gets Around. She pursues Bob, who Thinks Like a Romance Novel and still believes children are brought by a stork.
- Downplayed: Alice has had two relationships and pursues Bob, who has had one.
- Justified: Alice's friends made The Bet that even with all of her experience, she can't seduce pure and innocent Bob. Alice is trying to prove them wrong.
- Inverted: Bob the virgin pursues sexually experienced Alice.
- Subverted:
- Alice reveals all her alleged relationships were fictional. She is just as inexperienced as Bob.
- Bob is much dirtier then he would care to admit and only thinks Alice is pursuing him to "steal his purity".
- Double Subverted: Then it's revealed she has had many a Secret Relationship nobody has any suspicion about.
- Averted: Alice only pursues men whose level of romantic/sexual experience is similar to hers.
- Enforced: Alice and Bob are characters in a show and it's Sweeps Week. The producers think it'd be a ratings boost to have the experienced Alice seduce the virgin Bob so they can have a reason for Alice to do some Fanservice to draw the audience in.
- Lampshaded: "Have you heard Alice now has her sights set on Bob? That maneater is going to devour poor innocent Bob alive."
- Invoked: Bob's friends encourage Alice to seduce Bob because of their Virgin-Shaming attitude.
- Defied: Experienced Alice briefly thinks about pursuing inexperienced Bob but decides against it.
- Discussed: "Alice, who'll be your next boyfriend? How about Bob? He's gorgeous… though you'll first have to explain what dating even is."
- Deconstructed: Sexually experienced Alice pursues the inexperienced Bob and succeeds. However, she is thoroughly turned off by his lack of experience because it makes him too submissive and vanilla in bed for her tastes and she slowly grows to resent him for it...
- Reconstructed: ...Later on, Alice decides to turn lemons into lemonade by taking the time to teach Bob exactly what she likes in bed and mold him to her preferences, leaving the two very satisfied in the relationship.
