Basic Trope: Women are the predominant or sole victims in a work, and they're treated as expendable.
- Straight: The monster Cruncher attacks Alice, Bob, Carol, Dave, Eve and Fred. Cruncher devours Alice, Carol and Eve, but Bob, Dave and Fred survive.
- Exaggerated: Dozens and dozens of women are eaten alive by Cruncher, and not a single man is so much as scowled at.
- Downplayed:
- In a mix gendered cast, most of the women are killed/eaten by Cruncher, but some men die as well, and at least one or two women make it to the end.
- The men killed by Cruncher are active threats, the women are simply trying to survive.
- Cruncher kills men quickly, but takes its time with women.
- Justified: The cast of characters is almost or exclusively women, so obviously they would have the higher casualty rate.
- Averted: Cruncher is just as likely to target Bob, Dave and Fred as it is to target Alice, Carol and Eve
- Inverted: Cruncher kills Bob, Dave and Fred, but Alice, Carol and Eve survive.
- Parodied: ???
- Enforced: ???
- Lampshaded: ???
- Invoked: ???
- Exploited: In order to lure Cruncher into a trap, Alice is used as bait.
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: "Isn't it weird how Cruncher only goes after the girls?"
