Basic Trope: A seemingly dead character kills an opponent before they die.
- Straight: Emperor Evulz shoots Bob with a gun before he dies.
- Exaggerated: Evulz somehow nukes Bob's entire hometown before he dies.
- Downplayed: Evulz shoots Bob, but he doesn't die. He gets a severe wound that renders him unable to walk.
- Justified: Evulz wanted to show Bob what he feels, by killing him.
- Inverted: Just before Bob dies, he shoots Evulz with his gun before he dies, but he survives.

- The bullet missed and actually didn't hit Bob.
- Evulz's finger begins to spasm while trying to shoot Bob, and he dies before he can even press the trigger.

- But then the bullet then reflects off a wall and hits Bob in the heart.

- Parodied: Right before Evulz dies, he creates a very complicated machine just to shoot Bob, and when he finishes it, he presses the button to shoot Bob and collapses.
