Basic Trope: A device of some sort made to counteract a Kryptonite Factor.
- Straight: Amazing Girl wears a lead suit to protect herself against fluromite, her only weakness.
- Exaggerated:
- Amazing Girl has anti-fluromite clothing for every occasion.
- Amazing Girl has a separate suit for each weakness she has.
- Downplayed: Amazing Girl isn’t that weak to fluromtie to begin with, and just has the suit to reduce the worst of it.
- Justified:
- Electro-man is shorted out by water, so naturally, anything that would keep him dry will protect him from it.
- It’s just a regular survival suit, as Amazing Girl’s weakness is simply earth’s atmosphere.
- Inverted:
- Dr. Borfinstine make an energy beam that amplifies Amazing Girl’s weakness to fluromite, making even the smallest amount of it fatal.
- Man of Kryptonite: Dr. Borfinstine wears a suit made out of fluromite, in order to kill Amazing Girl.
- Amazing Girl wraps the Fluromite Golem in lead weave in order to contain it's destructive energies.
- Subverted:
- It turns out the suit is made of lead for different reasons, and it wasn’t intended to block fluromite at all.
- Amazing Girl shows up in the lead-lined suit… and it does nothing to help her against the fluromite.
- Double Subverted:
- It was, however, successful in protecting Amazing girl against onions, her other weakness.
- Turns out she was faking it in order to convince her enemies that she doesn’t have such a suit.
- Parodied:
- Amazing girl rejects an anti-fluromite suit because it doesn’t match her colour scheme.
- It's an Embarrassing but Empowering Outfit.
- Only the suit is fluromite-proof: it actually does nothing to protect the superhero INSIDE it.
- Zig Zagged: The suit is fluromtie-proof all right, but it's not actually Amazing Girl in the suit: she's controlling it via remote control from a great distance as an additional precaution.
- Averted: No Kryptonite Factors are countered like this.
- Enforced: It’s used to sell yet another action figure of Amazing Girl.
- Lampshaded: “HEY! That’s CHEATING! You’re not allowed to counter my unfair advantage like that!”
- Invoked: Amazing Girl demands a lead-lined version of her costume in order to fight the Fluromite Man.
- Exploited: Exploited Immunity: Realising that she has an anti-fluromite suit and her Evil Knockoff doesn’t, Amazing Girl drags her double into a fluromite reactor with her in order to defeat her.
- Defied:
- “I’m not going to bother with that thing; getting rid of fluromite is what the rest of the team’s for.”
- Dr. Borfinstine has an anti-clothing beam specifically to get rid of outfits like this.
- Discussed: “For every sword there is a shield, and for every shield another sword to destroy that one. This outfit is just another link in the massive defense-offense chain.”
- Conversed: “Amazing Girl’s fluromite weakness been established long enough that the writes have decide to start messing with it.”
- Deconstructed:
- Realizing that she has no real reason NOT to wear such a suit all the time, Amazing Girl incorporates it into her normal costume, essentially removing fluromite as a weakness.
- The anti-fluromite suit is bulky, clumsy and tears easily, to the point where Amazing Girl loses against regular mooks while using it, fluromite or not.
- Reconstructed:
- She still need an extra-protective suit against particularly large concentrations of fluromite however, which is too expensive to be used regularly.
- While it still weighs her down a bit, Amazing Girl trains excessively with a hardened, upgraded version of the suit to allow her to fight at her full potential while wearing it.
