Basic: A villain talks about a hero's dead loved one as if they were just another victim, and the hero defiantly corrects them.
- Straight: Evulz and the hero, Helena, are facing off. Evulz says, "Soon, you'll be dead, just like that poor soul I killed three months ago." Helena yells, "His name was Isaias!"
- Exaggerated: Evulz refuses to acknowledge that Isaias even existed. Helena goes on a long, angry rant about it, ending with her blowing the villain up.
- Downplayed: Evulz talks about the last person he killed while monologuing. Helena calmly tells Evulz that his name was Isaias.
- Justified:
- Evulz genuinely doesn't remember his name.
- Evulz is attempting to annoy and irk Helena in every way possible.
- It was an ordinary Tuesday for Evulz.
- Inverted: Evulz refers to Isaias by name, then has to remind Helena who that is.
- Subverted: "No. She was a girl named Sasha."
- Double Subverted: "But that was before I got to that poor soul I killed the next day."
- Averted: Evulz gets Isaias's name right the first time.
- Lampshaded: "Stupid villain. Bad enough he killed Isaias, but now he won't even use his name!"
- Discussed: "So if Evulz knew what he had done to me, why couldn't he put his finger on Isaias's name?"
- Conversed: "Apparently villains like to pretend that victims close to the hero don't have names."
