- Justified: For whatever reason, saying Emperor Evulz' name really does cause thunder to go off. Maybe it's a spell.
- Inverted: Thunder going off causes the heroes to say Emperor Evulz' name.
- Subverted: Although it seems thunder rumbling was being caused by saying Evulz' name, it was actually just a coincidence - there really is a thunderstorm going on.
- Double Subverted: When they say his name again, though, thunder goes off again.
- Parodied:
- This happens literally every single time the characters talk about Evulz, so they end up having to close the window or even use codenames.
- The characters try to trick the Dramatic Thunder, such as by seeming like they're going to say "Emperor Evulz", only to say "Emperor... Elliot" to see if it'll go off anyway.
- The sound effect is basically the equivalent of an Embarrassing Ringtone.
- Zig-Zagged: Thunder only goes off sometimes when saying Evulz' name.
- Averted: There are no sound effects with triggers.
- Enforced: To make Evulz seem more like The Dreaded.
- Lampshaded: "Woah, we said his name and thunder just went off!"
