Basic Trope: A character, most often male, gets hit in his genitals.

- Alternatively, let's face it, the groin is a very sensitive area. Getting impacted there would really hurt.
- Bob is a Straw Misogynist asshole, and anyone (males included) will gladly kick him in his balls, over and over.
- Alice isn't aiming for the crotch, and a painful keel-over, but for the femoral artery, and a One-Hit Kill.
- Alice is putting her women's self-defense training to good use on Bob, who is making an unwanted advance on her.
- Alice was raped by Bob in the past, and a vicious groin attack is only the beginning of her violent revenge on him.

- Zig Zagged: A Shadow Discretion Shot looks like Alice hit Bob in his crotch, but she really kicked him in his thigh. Until Bob is seen with an icepack on his crotch, which he explains he needs to use after falling on a plank of wood, so Alice really did kick Bob in his thigh.

- "It would be uncivil to kick at your pride, so I will be satisfied with your face."
- Bob expects these kicks coming, and always wears a metal codpiece to protect himself.
- Bob knows certain kind of kung-fu that intercepts attacks to the groin.
- Bob is a ghost/hologram/psychic projection, so Groin Attacks (or any physical attack for that matter) can't affect him.
- Bob dodges Alice's Groin Attack and kicks her in the groin.
- Discussed: "WHY?!! WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE GRONCH?!!"

- Bob had Balls of Steel and legs strong enough to hold Alice's in place. He also does not take dirty fighting well.
- Reconstructed:
- Ruptured testicles won't matter, as it was a fight to the death involving the local Combat Pragmatist — who just won.
- Bob just got kicked by a Combat Pragmatist, and it only angers him. No matter, said Combat Pragmatist follows with a handful of ground pepper to the eyes. If that fails, well, there's still more dirty tricks where those came from.
- Alice is able to prove that she acted in self-defense, whether it was true or not.
- Played For Laughs: A snarky description of the effects that attack had is made by a bystander/the game interface.
- Played for Drama:
- All his friends think it was in good humor at the time, but Bob does not survive the groin attack.
- Bob survives, but permanent damage is done. A full description of the damage would be... Distasteful at best, but in short, he'll never be a father, and he spends the next week and a half having to call a nurse if he needs to pee.
- Played For Horror: Groin Attacks are treated as an act of sexual violence, and it's a special kind of evil.
