Basic Trope: A transhuman monster that enjoys being a dangerous, evil creature.
- Straight: Wilbur is an evil werewolf that feels free whenever he transforms.
- Exaggerated: Wilbur is a Serial Killer and cannibal even in human form and actively tries to make others into werewolves (or other dangerous transhumans) as well.
- Downplayed: Wilbur was a pretty decent person before being bitten, but fell victim to Transhuman Treachery.
- Justified:
- Wilbur is a Misanthrope Supreme.
- Wilbur was the victim of abuse who, finally having the means to punish those responsible, has gone off the deep end.
- Wilbur was once horrified by his transformation and tried to find a cure, but losing everyone and everything he loved and being made an outcast drove him to misanthropy.
- Inverted:
- Wilbur heavily dislikes being a werewolf, due to constantly losing control of himself.
- Wilbur takes a level in kindness after being bitten by a werewolf.
- Subverted: Wilbur transforms into a werewolf, but he still has traces of humanity in his heart.
- Double Subverted: He then opts to fully embrace his werewolf persona and abandon what remains of his humanity altogether.
- Parodied: Wilbur becomes a werebedbug, and preaches about the joys of infecting mattresses whenever he's on screen.
- Zig-Zagged: After Wilbur discards his humanity as a werewolf, he starts feeling an emptiness in his heart, an emptiness he once had as a human. He then decides that he'd rather be a werewolf than a human, but his human feeling still remain inside of him. Try as he may, Wilbur can never fully let go of his human heart upon becoming a werewolf.
- Averted:
- Nobody becomes any sort of transhuman creature.
- Wilbur is turned into a werewolf and doesn't act much differently.
- Enforced: Wilbur is intended to be a villainous foil to the heroic werewolf main character, Luna.
- Lampshaded: ???
- Invoked: ???
- Exploited: ???
- Defied: Wilbur decides that he isn't going to let his transformation into a werewolf make him a villain, and chooses to remain good.
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: ???
- Deconstructed:
- As much as Wilbur the Werewolf enjoys his new fiendish form, he has effectively made himself an easy target for vampire hunters, who quickly exorcise him.
- Wilbur the Werewolf can only attack during a full moon night, meaning he will never fully embrace his werewolf side.
- Reconstructed:
- Wilbur doesn't care. He has long lost his humanity.
- Knowing this, Wilbur decides to pretend to be a human outside of full moon nights in order to lure away suspicions.
