Basic Trope: A female character shows off her physical prowess by lifting and/or carrying someone else, usually a male.
- Straight: Allen tells Irena that it's too dangerous for her to follow him into the enemy castle. Her reply is to easily pick him up over her shoulder and carry him in herself. Allen doesn't know what to make of this.
- Exaggerated:
- Irena picks up every male cast member at once, just as easily.
- Natalie lifts Allen over her head without breaking a sweat.
- Irena isn't some super-strong warrior or swordswoman, but a normal, slender peasant girl. As such, her ability to lift Allen is all the more surprising.
- Irena carries Allen over her head while Natalie is lifting her over her head.
- Irena is part of an infinite cycle of women lifting each other.
- Downplayed:
- Irena manages to carry Allen, but is visibly strained and complains that he's too heavy. The lift isn't "effortless" at all.
- Irena carries Alice.
- Allen is a lightweight Tagalong Kid.
- Irena carries Allen without any trouble, but only with some help from Kathy.
- Justified:
- Irena is very physically strong, and is able to lift Allen easily
- Irena has a crush on Allen, and enjoys seeing him flustered.
- Inverted:
- Irena gets a Bridal Carry from Allen.
- Alternatively, Irena is lifted by the weakest character in the cast, just to show how light she is.
- Alternatively, Irena has trouble lifting Tim who is the same size and as light as a paper-clip.
- Subverted: Irena picks Allen up quickly and easily... only to drop him a second later.
- Double Subverted:
- ...It seemed like Irena was about to drop him, but she quickly recovers. Turns out, she was just messing around.
- Irena dropped Allen on purpose, and makes no effort to hide it.
- Parodied:
- Irena, a tiny, waifish Lipstick Lesbian, carries her girlfriend, who is the resident Big Beautiful Woman.
- Irene picks up Allen at ease and clubs the villains with him.

- Averted: While Irena may in fact be very strong, she never demonstrates her strength by lifting another person.
- Enforced: "We need to show that Irena isn't a Damsel in Distress, but she isn't mowing down orcs with her greatsword until the third act. Oh, wait! We could have her give Allen a fireman's carry."
- Lampshaded: "All right, we get it, you're strong. Can you put me down now?"
- Invoked: Irena spars Allen, giving him a hard whack on the ankle so he can't walk. This gives her justification to carry him back to his tent for treatment, further proving her physical dominance in the process.

- Deconstructed: While Irena is a rather physically strong woman, Allen is heavier than she is, and she is lifting him in a hurry with no spotter. She is able to perform the lift, but injures her back badly doing so.
