- Exaggerated: "Alice and Bob: The Movie" has promotional images that are comparable to Renaissance art. In reality, the animation is just crudely-drawn scribbles.
- Downplayed: "Alice and Bob: The Movie" still has very detailed animation, but the promotional images make it look somewhat more detailed than it really is.
- Justified:
- "Alice and Bob: The Movie" is a Show Within a Show made by characters that wanted to use limited animation.
- While a lot of animation frames are needed, thus leaving a short production time per frame, only a few cover pictures are needed, leaving much more time per cover picture.
- Inverted: The promotional images look terrible, but the animation in the movie is excellent.
- Subverted: The animation in "Alice and Bob: The Movie" appears to be fairly un-detailed at first, but at one point in the movie it undergoes an Art Shift.
- Double Subverted: Where the animation gets even worse.

- Zig-Zagged: There are some promotional images that make the movie look more detailed than it is, while some show what it really looks like.
