Basic Trope: The hero(es) destroy a villain's weapon.
- Straight: By the end of the film, Hiro destroys Emperor Evulz' magical staff.
- Exaggerated:
- Hiro and all of the heroic characters in the movie team up to destroy the weapon.
- Hiro destroys all of Evulz' weapons.
- Hiro destroys the magical staff to the point in which it's practically nothing but dust.
- Downplayed: Hiro only damages the staff or breaks off pieces of it.
- Justified: The staff was the source of Evulz' power, so Hiro had to destroy it to make him unable to fight back.
- Inverted:
- Subverted: Hiro grabs the staff, seemingly about to slam it into the ground... and instead uses it to fight Evulz.
- Double Subverted: After he defeats Evulz, he slams the staff into the ground and breaks it.
- Parodied: ???
- Zig-Zagged: ???
- Averted:
- The villain never has any weapons anyway.
- The heroes never break the villain's weapon.
- Enforced: To show that Evulz may be about to lose the final battle.
- Lampshaded: "You... you destroyed my source of power!"
- Invoked: Lance encourages Hiro to destroy the weapon, thinking it'll make Evulz less powerful.
- Exploited:
- The force of the weapon shattering actually ends up injuring Evulz in the process, or Hiro uses the broken pieces to do so.
- Evulz' power is controlled by the staff, causing him to severely weaken or even die after it's destroyed.
- Defied: Evulz uses an indestructible weapon.
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: "They just destroyed the villain's weapon! I bet the villain doesn't have a chance now."
