Basic Trope: You can fully customize the equipment of your video game character.

  • Straight: Priest Order: Demon Rising IV allows you to choose your gun's parts from a variety of scopes and grips and stocks and barrels and paint jobs and...
  • Exaggerated:
    • You can personally draw the holy engravings on the trigger.
    • You have to create your own gun parts, then assemble them into your very own personalized gun.
  • Downplayed: Certain things like the barrel and the grip cannot be changed.
  • Justified: The Priest Order believes the best weapons to fight demons are the ones made by the people who use them, and thus allow each member to pimp their holy arsenal as they see fit.
  • Inverted: You have no control over what your weapons look like.
  • Subverted: You can fully customize your weapon, but then you find out it's only your wimpy starting weapons that can be customized.
  • Double Subverted: But then there's the DLC...
  • Parodied: Priest Order members customize to the point of complete ridiculousness. Every bullet, every piece of armor, every part of every weapon is tweaked to their likeness and theme as holy demon hunters.
  • Zig Zagged: Some weapons can be customized, some can't.
  • Averted: Gun customization is not available in-game. At least without mods.
  • Enforced: ???
  • Lampshaded: "I'm a demon-slayer, not an artificiaer. Why can't someone else build the guns?"
  • Invoked: You are only granted membership to the Priest Order if you have a heavily-customized gun.
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
