Basic Trope: A character who dies is later seen younger than they actually were.

  • Straight: Alice dies of natural causes at 80. Her ghost appears to Bob as she looked in her twenties.
  • Exaggerated: Alice's ghost appears as a baby.
  • Downplayed: Alice's ghost appears as she looked in her fifties.
  • Justified: Alice's spirit does not have the damage that her physical body was stuck with.
  • Inverted: Alice dies young, and her ghost appears to Bob as she would have looked if she'd made it to adulthood.
