Basic Trope: A character is killed in such a way that there is no logical chance of them ever possibly being resurrected whatsoever.
- Straight: Alice finally strikes down Emperor Evulz. Not only is Evulz's body destroyed, but so is his soul, leaving Evulz dead forever, no matter how hard one might try to revive him.
- Exaggerated: Alice kills Evulz so thoroughly as to where nobody even remembers he ever existed.
- Downplayed: Evulz can still theoretically be revived, but the actions one would have to do to do so are so drastic probably nobody ever would be capable of pulling it off.
- Justified: Evulz's soul was destroyed; his soul contained his entire life essence. Even if his body was revived, his soul would still be gone, so even then he would really just be a husk of his former self.
- Inverted: Evulz is resurrected with such powerful magic that he can't ever die again.
- Subverted: Alice only believed destroying the soul would kill one for good. She was wrong.
