Basic Trope: A giant character picks up/holds a tinier character with their finger tips, typically pinching a clothing item.
- Straight: Alice, a Giant Woman, picks up Bob, a normal sized man, by pinching the back of his shirt between her thumb and index finger and lifts him off the ground.
- Exaggerated: Alice is so big she pinches Bob's entire body between her fingers.
- Downplayed: Alice uses 4 of her finger tips to grab Bob by the back of his shirt and hold him aloft.
- Justified:
- Alice wants to get a good look at Bob while she has him, so she holds him this way so his whole body is visible.
- Alice is going to eat Bob, so she pinches the back of his shirt with her fingers so she can easily lower him into her jaws.
- Inverted: Bob is so strong he's able to drag the giant Alice around while holding her with nothing but his thumb and index finger.
- Subverted: Alice moves like she's about to pick up Bob this way, but at the last second scoops him up in her clenched fist.
- Double Subverted: She then adjuts her grip so she's dangling him.
- Parodied: Rather than picking up Bob by the back of the shirt like is normally done, Alice picks him up by his boxer-briefs, which gives him a wedgie.
