- Inverted: The Alice and Bob Project have a song where Alice lets out a long whisper.
- Subverted: The Alice and Bob Project have a song in which you expect a scream, but the song ends.
- Double Subverted: The ending heard was a Fake-Out Fade-Out and after the instruments start playing again, Alice lets a scream ring out.
- Parodied: Right before the climax of their newest song, Alice takes a deep breath... and then Bob pauses the recording to remind her that The Alice and Bob Project is best known for their generic pop music, and they would scare off a lot of their fans if she yelled too loud. After Bob unpauses the recording, Alice groans "aaaaaaah."
