Basic Trope: A loud scream in a song.
- Straight: The Alice and Bob Project have a song called Nightmare Fuel, in which Alice lets out a bloodcurdling scream.
- Exaggerated:
- The whole song is just Alice and Bob taking turns screaming.
- Alice and Bob's screams breaks all glass in a one mile radius.
- Downplayed: Alice lets out a short scream in the song.
- Justified: The Alice and Bob Project is a metal band.
- Inverted: The Alice and Bob Project have a song where Alice lets out a long whisper.
- Subverted: The Alice and Bob Project have a song in which you expect a scream, but the song ends.
- Double Subverted: The ending heard was a Fake-Out Fade-Out and after the instruments start playing again, Alice lets a scream ring out.
- Parodied: Right before the climax of their newest song, Alice takes a deep breath... and then Bob pauses the recording to remind her that The Alice and Bob Project is best known for their generic pop music, and they would scare off a lot of their fans if she yelled too loud. After Bob unpauses the recording, Alice groans "aaaaaaah."
- Zig Zagged: The Alice and Bob Project have a song where no screams are heard, then the song ends, but that was a Fake-Out Fade-Out and the song continues, but then ends again. However, that was a Fake-Out Fade-Out too, and when the song finally ends, you hear a scream.
- Averted: There is no scream.
- Enforced: "Hey, let's scare our listeners by having a scream in the middle of a song!"
- Lampshaded: "Hey, nice so- Oh Jesus! What the hell was that?"
- Invoked: Alice makes sure to slip some hard rock into their newest album to attract the metal fans, and possibly use this trope in the future.
- Exploited: People who work at a haunted house play the scream to try and scare people who go in.
- Defied: "I don't want to lose listeners on our album, so remove the scream."
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: "You know that kind of song where it's just like, light guitar for 2 minutes, and then the lead singer starts yelling their ass off?"
- Played For Laughs: Bob screams, but he Screams Like a Little Girl.
- Implied: Charles starts listening to the song with the scream. Four minutes later, he is visibly uncomfortable, and when the camera shifts to his POV, his ears are ringing.
- Deconstructed: The Alice and Bob Project starts losing listeners because the scream terrified them.
- Reconstructed: Whatever fans they lost with their scream are replaced with more hardcore fans.
Hey Troper, you'd better be Careful With That AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
