Basic Trope: Pigs are portrayed as intelligent.

  • Straight: Peter the Pig is very smart.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Peter knows literally everything.
    • There are many pigs in the work, and they're all very smart.
  • Downplayed:
    • Peter can be rather smart, but isn't too high above average.
    • Peter isn't a real pig, but he is still a smart person who has some pig-related motifs.
  • Justified: Truth in Television: pigs are fairly smart animals.
