Basic Trope: A character's stomach has apparently endless capacity, and can eat anything without ever gaining any weight.

  • Straight: Alice eats a 3-course meal without gaining any weight.
  • Exaggerated: Alice eats an entire planet without gaining even a single pound, and even comments that she's still hungry.
  • Downplayed: Alice eats a larger than normal meal and doesn't gain much weight.
  • Justified: Alice belongs to a species that doesn't gain any weight.
  • Inverted: Alice has a Balloon Belly when she eats anything at all.
  • Subverted: Alice eats a very large meal, claiming that she won’t gain any weight from it because she has a fast metabolism. She’s wrong, and she ends up gaining weight and feeling bloated after the meal.
  • Double Subverted: Alice pulls out the pillow she stuffed under her shirt, and reveals that she was only pretending to feel bloated as a joke. In reality, she’s just as skinny as she was before the meal.
  • Parodied: Alice can eat a 5-course meal without gaining a pound, but gains a Balloon Belly after drinking a small glass of water.
  • Zig-Zagged: ???
  • Averted:
    • All characters are appropriately affected by excessive eating.
    • Nobody eats excessively in the work.
  • Enforced: Alice is part of a Zany Cartoon, so using this trope as a gag makes sense.
  • Lampshaded: "How is she not gaining any weight?"
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: Bob and Charlie are trapped in a cage made out of food. Alice eats a hole in the cage so they can escape.
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Played For Horror: Alice usually eats a normal amount of food for a human of her size, but she’s begun to eat more and more. Eventually, she’s consuming enormous quantities of food, and she still feels hungry no matter how much she’s eaten. Concerned, Alice seeks help from a doctor, who finds a massive tapeworm-like parasite in her stomach.
