Basic Trope: A character is exclaiming before battle/taking action.
- Straight: The main character, Alice, have a battle cry "For all!"
- Exaggerated:
- Bob's battle cry is a five minute detailed exclamation of his every belief.
- Every character has a battle cry.
- Downplayed: Alice says "Alright, let's do this!" before charging into battle, but she doesn't quite shout it.
- Justified: Someone has to give the order to "CHAAAARGE!!"
- Inverted: Alice shouts in victory after her army defeats their opponents.
- Subverted: "FOR ALL...of our sakes, Bob, can you please stop eating chips so loudly while we're preparing for battle?"
- Double Subverted: "Now that that's settled...FOR ALL!"
- Parodied: Bob has a battle cry of "You're stupid!" to distract his opponent.
- Zig-Zagged: Alice uses different battle cries for different situations, sometimes not at all.
- Averted: Bob doesn't yell anything before a battle.
- Enforced: "We need this character to have a badass moment before the incoming battle. How about we make him shout something cool?"
- Lampshaded: Alice's battle cry is "SUPER COOL BATTLE CRY!"
- Invoked: Alice deliberately decides to come up with a battle cry to motivate her army.
- Exploited: Bob attacks Alice before she finishes her battle cry.
- Defied: Alice refuses to shout before battle, considering it undignified.
- Implied: We hear a loud exclamation off-screen.
- Discussed: "Should we do a battle cry? It feels right in this situation."
- Conversed: "Why does it seem everyone on this show has a weird battle cry?"
