  • Basic Trope: An amusement park with deadly attractions.
  • Straight: Dozens of people have died at Falco's Fun Land thanks to their dangerous rides.
  • Exaggerated: Falco's Fun Land sports dangerous rides, Hostile Animatronics, and refreshments bad enough to give you food poisoning.
  • Downplayed: A few more accidents than the norm have occurred at Falco's Fun Land, and they've had a high-profile kidnapping and food poisoning lawsuit.
  • Justified:
    • Falco's Fun Land is a Genius Loci that feeds on pain.
    • The rides at Falco’s Fun Land are very old and haven’t been updated to meet current safety standards.
    • The rides at Falco's Fun Land were designed by someone who was utterly incompetent at engineering.
    • Falco's Fun Land was never properly maintained and it was staffed by minimally trained workers as the owners were too cheap/lazy to pay to properly maintain the rides and train the staff.
    • The rides at Falco's Fun Land were built using substandard materials and shoddy construction work.
    • Falco's Fun Land exists in a Banana Republic where regulations are weak and the local authorities don't bother enforcing them.
  • Inverted: Falco's is normal, except that everyone gains immortality as long as they're on the grounds.
  • Subverted: Bob, Alice, and Charlie enter the haunted house in Falco's Fun Land and Charlie gets murdered by one of the animatronics...but once they get out it turns out Charlie is a scare actor.
  • Double Subverted:...But once they get on the Jaguar roller coaster, the safety measures all fail at once.
  • Zig-Zagged: Bob, Alice, and Charlie enter the haunted house in Falco's Fun Land and Charlie gets murdered by one of the animatronics...but once they get out it turns out Charlie is a scare actor. Then they get on the Jaguar roller coaster, the safety measures all fail at once. However, upon inspection, it turns out the ride had been sabotaged...but whether the saboteur was a staff member or an outsider remains unclear.
  • Parodied: The park is called Death World and boasts rides like "Wheel 'O' Doom" and entertainers like "Thomaso the Terror", complete with booths selling items like "Salmonella on a Stick."
  • Averted: Falco's Fun World is no more or less dangerous than other amusement parks.
  • Enforced:
  • Lampshaded:
Bob: Risky rides and aggressive animatronics at an amusement park? Who finds this amusing?!
  • Invoked: Dracone, who made the park, is a sadistic Misanthrope Supreme and designed the park to be deadly.
  • Exploited: Dracone wants to get rid of Bob, who just moved to the area and doesn't know about Falco's, and he wants it to look accidental. So he sends him an all-access pass.
  • Defied: Bob buys Falco's Fun Land on the cheap and immediately engages in redesigns and renovations to make it safe before reopening under a new name.
  • Implied:
    • Bob goes to stand in line for one of the rides at Falco's...cut to rescue workers entering the now closed ride.
    • There's an ambulance (or several of them) seen in the parking lot of Falco's.
    • The Ohio Department of Agriculture makes repeat visits to Falco's. note
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: "In real life, Falco's Fun Land would never even be a thing."
  • Deconstructed:
    • Falco's Fun Land is shut down due to safety violation, is buried in fines and lawsuits and goes bankrupt, and the owners face criminal neglect charges.
    • As soon as word gets out that the park isn't safe, customers cease going there, and the park fails.
  • Reconstructed: Despite the unsafe nature of Falco's Fun Land, it's still going strong as people go there to prove how badass they are by surviving the rides.
