Basic Trope: An ally who is indifferent and dismissive of their teammates.
- Straight: Ichigo helps the heroes defeat Emperor Evulz, but acts indifferent and avoidant towards them.
- Exaggerated: Ichigo helps the heroes defeat the most wicked villains, but is so cold and condescending that the heroes find him insufferable.
- Downplayed: Ichigo is the Hero of Another Story and has his own problems to deal with, but helps out with the fight against Emperor Evulz when he can spare the time.
- Justified:
- Ichigo is just a loner who isn't too fond of The Power of Friendship.
- Ichigo has his own reasons for defeating Evulz that aren't perfectly aligned with those of the heroes.
- Ichigo is The Stoic.
- Inverted: Enigmatic Minion
- Subverted: Ichigo warms up to the heroes and becomes a permanent ally.
- Double Subverted: ...just right before forgetting about his lesson on teamwork and friendship; however, he still helps them.
- Parodied: Ichigo frequently forgets who the heroes are despite having fought alongside them several times before. His Running Gag consists of him going "Who the fuck are you guys!?" to the other heroes Once per Episode.
- Zig Zagged: Ichigo seems like a condescending jerk, only for it to be discovered that he did have a team he was very close with, prior to Emperor Evulz killing them all. He then became too scared of losing people again to make new friends. The heroes then manage to defrost his frozen heart and welcome him into the fold, only to discover that he's still a jerk who looks down on them for not being his first team.
- Averted: Ichigo works well with the heroes.
- Enforced: "We need a new ally for the heroes. At least one who isn't a friendly one."
- Lampshaded: "Looks like we're teaming up with someone who flunked teamwork school."
- Invoked: Emperor Evulz's second in command has been assigned to infiltrate the heroes' team and so destroys several of the Emperor's unimportant plots to gain the heroes' trust.
- Exploited: Emperor Evulz targets Ichigo more than the other heroes, as his aloofness makes him an easy picking.
- Defied: After helping the heroes, Ichigo immediately introduces himself, explains his history, and asks to join the group.
- Discussed: "What'll it take for Ichigo to work with us? He'd make a great teammate if it weren't for his distant attitude.
- Conversed: "Ichigo doesn't seem to care about the heroes very much. Hopefully he comes around."
- Implied: Ichigo simply moves on with his life after working with the heroes.
- Deconstructed: Ichigo's aloofness causes the heroes to turn away from him out of thinking that he doesn't care at all about anyone.
- Reconstructed: Ichigo explains that even though he's aloof, it doesn't mean he doesn't care about anyone on the team. Relieved, Hiro asks Ichigo if he wants to join him. Ichigo turns down the offer, though the heroes tell him he'd be welcomed with open arms if he considered it.
