- Double Subverted: Except that wasn't the abandoned building she was exploring before she saw something suspicious.
- Zig-Zagged: Alice wakes up in an abandoned hospital, but as she explores further, she discovers that it's actually a secret government facility that was made to look abandoned. However, she later realizes that it was intentionally made to look active to deceive anyone who might stumble upon it.
- Parodied: Alice wakes up to find no one there, but a bouquet of flowers and a "sorry you woke up in an abandoned hospital" card are sitting on her bedside table.
