- While getting turned into a Mermaid is not as severe, mobility aids and ready access to sufficient bodies of water are still necessary for life on land. And that's not to say about the Mermaids who can only breathe water and will suffocate if they try to breathe air.
- You could be subjected to Superhuman Trafficking or worse by people who are interested in you for scientific (or not-so-scientific) reasons.
