- The Beast Fighters are this to unwary worlds targeted by the Boazan Star Empire as each of them are a One-Man Army capable of destroying an entire planet's defenses like paper mache such as Dokugaga who took down Cephir with ease in the past and Earth Defense Force are completely helpless against it despite their firepower. It is the reason why Hrothgar/Ned Armstrong created Voltes V to counter the Beast Fighters and defeat them.
- Special mention goes to Shugoshin Godor, the God of War as it is proclaimed. A powerful, ancient mecha, armed with a greatsword and two enormous railguns that unfurl from its back like demonic wings, that had been dormant so long it was mistaken to be an ancient idol statue. Who was able to create such a powerful machine of destruction thousands of years ago? And what kind of enemy were they up against?
- Mileage may vary on the fifth Beast Fighter, Daiga, on whether his Slasher Smile makes him uncanny and disturbing, or just plain goofy.
- The Skull Ship itself. Just like its anime counterpart Skullrook, the Skull Ship is menacing and ominous with Red Eyes, Take Warning to the point Dr. Smith outright called it "the symbol of Death" when it appeared to lay siege on Camp Big Falcon.
- Whenever the Skull Ship appears at anytime, it always spells bad news for Camp Big Falcon and the people of Earth.
- It does not help that the Skull Ship has a cloaking field that conceals itself from being detected or seen from the skies until it chooses to. Have fun sightseeing.
- Hornless Boazanians are this as the ones under Prince Zardoz's command are able to infiltrate and blend in among the people of Earth as his spies. No one would be able to suspect them as Boazanians until they strike as shown with Takeo and Arisa who pretended to be random civilians wanting to meet Little Jon as his fans until they drop the pretense and killed the Earth Defense Force soldiers protecting the young Armstrong before capturing him. They Look Just Like Everyone Else! indeed.
- Android Ned Armstrong, a robot imposter of Ned Armstrong, is this as he was able to fool the Voltes Team, Dr. Smith and General Robinson by acting as if it was the real Ned Armstrong after using the information of the man obtained by Zardoz during his personal infiltration into Camp Big Falcon as "Manuel Nabuz". And even when Dr. Smith figures him out as a fake after scanning his robotic body, the android easily overpowers the soldiers and brutally stabs the doctor with a claw sheathed inside his hand.
- Even his robot interior is unnerving to look at as shown when Dr. Smith scanned Android Ned Armstrong to finally confirm his suspicions. Before that, it even bypassed the detectors to pass off as a human.
- He is also this to Little Jon as the youngest Armstrong son never got to meet his father who left his mother and his two older brothers before he was born. The moment the android imposter showed up, Little Jon was more than happy to accept that it is the real Ned Armstrong who finally came back and bonds with the robot at every opportunity, especially when rebuking at his elder brother Steve for being unreasonably suspicious and cold at their "father" and removed OCTO-1's battery when the latter tried to tell the truth. Sadly unlike The Terminator from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Android Ned Armstrong does not regard Little Jon as a son to it or even grow paternal feelings for the boy who yearned for a father. It is a cold unfeeling humanoid machine who is dedicated to complete the mission of sabotaging Voltes V by Prince Zardoz and is willing to eliminate anyone who stands in its way as Dr. Smith finds out the hard way. When the imposter reveals its true colors to Little Jon, it does not hesitate to choke the youngest Armstrong and threaten his life to do as it says or else it snaps his neck or worse stabs him with the same arm claw that took Dr. Smith's life.
- The golden diamond ring of General Oslak, based off from the omitted Beast Fighter Daiand's ring form, is this as it puts anyone who stumble upon it and put it on their finger to fall under Mind Control with their eyes glowing yellow. Once the victim is under mind control, Oslak has complete command over the said victim to do as he say, as Zandra and later Jamie Robinson found out the hard way.
- When Zandra fell under the ring's control, Oslak Attempted Rape on her in contrast to his anime counterpart who simply drinks with her. If Zardoz hadn't intervened in time, Zandra would have been helpless under Oslak's thrall.
- When Jamie Robinson was put under control after finding the ring, Oslak commands her to sabotage Voltes V within the base similarly like in the anime. However, Oslak changes his mind and instead command Jamie to slay General Robinson, her father.
- The Posi-Negatron is essentially a twin set of Death Stars that produce a powerful gravitational beam that obliterates anything in its path, and is treated even by the Boazanians themselves as The Dreaded. General Oslak falls victim to it once Baron Zander bails on him: caught in its beam, he and his ship are disintegrated in an instant.
