- It's Rob Zombie doing another movie about carnies. One could easily say the entire movie is this.
- Pretty much every scene involving Doom-Head. Even the movie's harshest detractors have praised Richard Brake's terrifying performance.
- The opening scene is particularly noteworthy, as it consists largely of a single take of Doom-Head monologuing while looking intensely into the camera, barely even blinking. When the camera finally cuts away, we see that he is talking to a preacher, who has been tied to a chair. The preacher asks about his wife, and is told that two clowns "took a fancy to her, so she might be sticking around for a bit".
