  • The opening scene really set the tone. It's a middle class couple welcoming the Vision family to the neighbourhood. It's all pretty pleasant and funny. Meanwhile, the narration informs us what these couple's dying thoughts will be when the Visions set their house on fire.
  • The scene in which Grim Reaper impales Viv is violent and disturbing. To make matters worse, she is left in a state similar to catatonia, unable to do anything but repeat "MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER..."
  • Chris' facial expression when Vin neck lifts him is chilling. Readers can see him struggling for air and losing consciousness.
  • Zeke (George and Nora's dog) digs up the remains of Grim Reaper. When he bites a piece of Grim Reaper's equipment, he's electrocuted. Vision finds him blackened, wide-eyed, and whimpering in the backyard.
  • The means by which Agatha Harkness first received visions of the future was frightening. First, she fed her cat Ebony a petal from a Wundagore Everbloom, then killed the cat (after the angry familiar transformed into a panther and fought her tooth and nail). After cutting Ebony open, retrieving the digested flower petal from the cat's stomach, and consuming it, she thrashed around on the ground, wide-eyed and covered in blood. Afterwards, she described her visions out loud with a look of terror on her face.
    • The visions Agatha and later Virginia saw are intensely horrifying. Vision, consumed by anger and hatred towards Victor due to his accidental murder of Vin, decides he no longer deserves to live and kills him after tearing through the Avengers in a fit of Unstoppable Rage. Killing Victor would destroy what remained of Vision's sanity, culminating in him finishing off the already brutalized Avengers, and after that, the death of all life on Earth by his hands. It's no wonder Virginia decided to kill Victor herself to keep that from happening.
  • The synthezoids' displays of anger or anxiety are often violent, even when reacting to minor annoyances. Viv puts her fist through the staircase during a brawl with her brother over Shakespeare. Vin neck lifts Chris Kinzsky when the boy gets on his last nerve. Virginia smashes the kitchen table out of anxiety when law enforcement questions Vision. Finally, Vision smashes the living room and backyard in a fit of rage when he discovers that Virginia killed Grim Reaper and put Leon Kinzky in a coma. If the synthezoids react so violently when provoked, how long before one of them kills the wrong person?
  • In issue #9, Victor slowly electrocuting Vin. Vin calls out for his mother, but no one else in the house knows what is going on.
    MOMMY!
  • The scenes in which Virginia brutally kills Sparky, then tears out Victor's heart are both nightmarish and heartbreaking.
  • The Vision's Roaring Rampage of Revenge to kill Victor is intensely brutal. He quickly shows why Agatha was so terrified of him undergoing a Faceā€“Heel Turn. He first blasts Tony through a wall when he tries to stop him, and starts beating the hell out of everyone else. By the time he is done, nobody else remained standing: Tony, Hank, Carol, Medusa, Crystal, Kamala, Sam, T'Challa, Monica, America, Adam, Peter, Miles, Samuel, Stephen, Wanda, not even Jane, who was a Physical God at the time, was able to stop him.
Vision: I understand that due to his role in the deaths of my neighbors and my son... Actions taken under your supervision... Victor Mancha is being held here in the Arlington Courthouse Jail.
    Tony: Vision-
Vision: I am here to visit Victor in his cell. Then I will kill him for killing Vin.
Tony: C'mon, man, listen, you can't-
Vision: I would gladly appreciate your cooperation in this matter. However, I do not require your cooperation in this matter.
Tony: Okay, fine. [Holds a device in his hand] This is a portable shield similar to the one on your house. It'll keep you contained until we can- [Vision blasts Tony with a beam from his forehead, smashing him through the floor and knocking him senseless. The remaining Avengers stare at Vision, utterly horrified over what he just did]
Vision: I will repeat. I do NOT require your cooperation in this matter.
    Peter: Ah, Poop.
  • Issue #12 ends with Vision, quietly building Viv's twin, all while singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". What doesn't help matters is that the last three panels, due to the sparks from the tool Vision's using, are tinted fire orange.
    Shhhhh
  • After the events of the story, Tony mailed Victor's severed head to Chase. Fortunately, Victor was Not Quite Dead, and survived getting his heart ripped out and getting decapitated, allowing him to be rebuilt. However, due to what happened to Vin, he's now terrified of anything made of Vibranium and will do everything he can to keep the stuff away from him.
