Season 1

1&2 - Chosen

• The Ellcrys developing what looks like wounds full of blood and pus is... unsettling.
• Allanon using his magic to view the deaths of the Chosen. Their screams of terror as the Changeling massacres them are seriously disturbing.
  • Along those same lines are Pyria's screams as the Fury literally rips her apart.
• The Dagda Mor walking into Allanon's mind in Paranor. Allanon's reaction just sells it - we know by now that he's just about the biggest badass around, and the Dagda Mor clearly scares the crap out of him.

5 - Reaper

• The brief but horrific death of an elf guard who gets too close to the remnants of nuclear war.

7 - Breakline

• Mixed with a dose of Tear Jerker, Amberle and Eretria spend their portion of the episode buried in the remains of a human high school, which was in the middle of a school dance when the world ended. As Amberle notes, the kids who were in attendance never saw their deaths coming. It's a pretty harsh reminder that The Four Lands used to be our world.

9 - Safehold

• Morag and Mallenroh flashing between◊ their beautiful and demonic forms, which look almost like rotting corpses.
• The Dagda Mor possessing Bandon and attempting to rape Catania.
  • Also, just before that, when Bandon touches Catania and sees a vision of her writhing in pleasure before the Dagda Mor◊, who just stares at Bandon as he licks Catania's neck.
    • It's similar to an earlier episode where Amberle and Wil are making out◊... only for the Dagda Mor to suddenly appear in Wil's place◊, causing Amberle to recoil in horror◊.

10 - Ellcrys

• Bandon savagely beating a prison guard to death as Catania screams and begs him to stop. Then he stands up and turns to look at her with blood all over his face, looking completely unbothered by what he's just done.
  Bandon: He shouldn't have touched you.

Season 2

3 - Graymark

• Riga slowly exsanguinating Wil before Allanon's eyes.

4 - Dweller

• The Dweller. A huge, slimy, spider-looking thing. With tentacles. That it wraps around you and forces you to relive your darkest memories so that it can feed on your pain.
• Bandon and Flick are having supper at Bandon's old home, which is now owned by a couple and their young son. Not knowing who Bandon is, the couple make disparaging remarks about Bandon's family, including Bandon himself, referring to him as "damaged", and even bringing out the iron muzzle that he used to wear. Bandon reacts by murdering their young son in front of them - and it's not given a Gory Discretion Shot, oh no. The audience is given a good long look at Bandon forcing the muzzle onto the boy's face, choking him until blood gushes from his throat and mouth while Flick begs him to stop.

5 - Paranor

• Flick's wound doesn't look so bad to start with, but when Wil tries to heal it, it... reacts badly. For a moment, it looks like Flick's face is catching fire from the inside, and after that the area around the wound is scorched and covered in black veins.

8 - Amberle

• Seeing Catania under the Warlock Lord's spell. From the creepy pale eyes to the way she behaves entirely unlike the Catania we know. It's almost a relief when Bandon kills her again.
