- This movie's version of The Phantom feels less like a new take on the classic character and more like some sort of unholy combination of Freddy Krueger and Leatherface. They even got Robert Englund to play him!
- While The Phantom's makeup is surprisingly tame for such a Bloodier and Gorier re-imagining of the story, the mask he wears is horrifying. Rather than a simple theatrical mask, he wears a mask made from the flesh of his victims.
