The Multiverse Roleplay

All entries under this heading relate specifically to The Multiverse play-by-post game as found on Roleplaygateway.com. The rules for citing examples on the Roleplay page do not apply here; you may cite any examples you want.

  • Guula, the Devourer. Getting paralyzed by venomous tentacles and getting dragged into an obese demon's Belly Mouth to be eternally digested within his infinite GI tract is truly a Fate Worse than Death.
  • R'ystelhar may not be the most successful villain. But his first and only reaction was when seeing a lost child was to throw him into a fourth dimensional maze, all while assimilating those who tried to help the lost child.
    • His character entry also counts. While his entry says the basic gist about what R'ystelhar is and what he's about, at the bottom is an animated picture of an eye looking around and the bottom caption saying "Nice place you got here."

Real Life

  • The implications of a infinite amount of universes are awesome but in the same breath pants wetting terrifying. Because everything HAS to exist, it would mean that all the horrors dreamed up by humanity are actually lingering just a universe to the left.
    • If there is indeed a multiverse, and everything that can happen does happen in it, then that means there's a universe where you didn't make it through a traumatic or horrific near-death experience or that the worst possible life you could get did occur in some other universe/timeline/reality.
    • That would depend of the kind of multiverse you're dealing with. In the simplest one (an infinite Universe (ie, ours) with the same laws of physics everywhere, where as there's a limited (albeit huge) way to reshuffle atoms everything would repeat an infinite numbers of times) some stuff not allowed by the physical laws would not exist. However frightening Alternate History scenarios as Nazis winning World War 2 or the Cuban Missile Crisis or other close Cold War calls degenerating in World War III, or even Nine Teen Eighty Four-like settings with nothing supernatural would still be possible. An infinite number of times.
