- As a mixture with Tearjerker, The ending of "Earthanasia" has got to be the darkest ending to a Goodies episode. The clock hits midnight, and Tim and Bill were relieved thinking that the world going to end was a joke, only for Graeme to reveal that his 'joke' was to put the clock forwards by a couple of minutes. As he explains this, the entire world explodes, and it shows a BBC 1 Ident in a darkish green background, before the spinning globe explodes, as well.
- The reveal of Twinkle's growth, can traumatize children who grew up watching The Goodies. As Bill opens the curtains to reveal a giant white kitten, Tim screams while unnerving, techno like music plays, as it goes to Tim waking up from a nightmare of Twinkle licking him.
