After Sijo left, kagescorpionakki took over as the GM. They changed the rules so that things took a Darker and Edgier turn. It all went downhill from there...

  • Dragon Lad was the first casualty—he was brutally murdered by Dr. Zoom. We can only hope that the kid he tried to save got away...
    • Mention also needs to be made of how Dragon Lad died. Dr. Zoom simply snaps his fingers, which, with his Super-Speed powers, let him blast Dragon Lad's head into pieces. Many, many pieces.
  • Aldawin pulling a Taking You with Me and having his hand-tentacles grab Tacharr and Magpie so that they would be incinerated by Ryan's nuclear blast. Tacharr got out in time. Magpie (who looks like a child!), on the other hand, was reduced to a red puddle. (It was a Good Thing You Can Heal via Resurrective Immortality, Magpie.)
    • Speaking of Magpie's deaths, she was exploded by an energy-disruptor sword, after taking five blasts. (They splattered her arms/legs, and put a hole through her torso.)
  • Ophelia's death by bifurcation and her subsequent self-destruction.
    • And then she comes back as Galatea, a terrifyingly powerful villain.
  • Most of the villains are rather fantastic. Rick Cannelle is someone you could meet, never know how vile he really is, and commit his crimes and even possibly get away with them due to the time frame. And this is all before he obtains his superpowers—which let him be even worse.
    • He threatens Layla with rape, which then angers Magpie so much that it gives her a Heroic Second Wind. After which, she tries to cram her energy form down his throat!
    • After Black Knight intervenes, it comes out that Rick...doesn't need to breathe any more. He's an immortal energy being. Meaning—he is basically free to commit all the heinous crimes he wants, across years, and taking him down will prove nigh-impossible.
  • In a more Paranoia Fuel sense, Ryan goes home and to sleep after a long day...and a robot with an eerie design shows up to spy on him. Nothing is said of where it came from, or why it was there.
  • Malefic is a sickening creature - a mechanical vampiric alien with an infectious nature. His "mechanofamiliars" are described as animals that have had a metallic shell emerge out of them. What is more, Malefic's very appearance seems to have turned the tunnels beneath Easton into an Eldritch Location.
    • He is planning to drink Jumping Bean's blood, and stalks her with his mechanofamiliars while he plots.
    • When the Emperor's impaled ethereal body lands in the sewer where he is currently hiding out, he wastes no time in digging in. Now his weakness to sunlight has been erased. Who knows what more atrocities this enables him to do?
  • Tying both Malefic and Dr. Zoom, both depraved murderers, together is an enigmatic and horrifying employer, who seems to want alien organs for use in some unknown scheme. Whoever this is has the money and influence to hire these two, and compel them to act for this employer.
  • The bad future in which OCULUS has taken over. It's a very bad dystopia situation, with many heroes subjected to And I Must Scream imprisonments.
  • The pestilence over Europe, specifically the Mediterranean area. Plagues are reappearing, animals and plants are dying, amongst other horrors.
  • Derrick Zanzibar is a living computer virus that can infect real life. He causes glitches in reality and in his first appearance absorbed a woman.
  • The battle with White Rook establishes a number of unsavory and unnerving facts - not only does the Order of Zugzwang know who Kyle is, what he is, what his weaknesses are, where he lives, and his schedule, they knew well enough to send one of the most heinously powerful agents at their disposal to take him - in part, suspecting other heroes would jump in. Zugzwang is willing to go to horrifying lengths for their disgusting body part harvesting schemes.
  • The Anti-Creator. Dear god, the Anti-Creator.
    • By extension, his minions. They're dangerous or insane, and some are a combination of both. It's no wonder that the Weaponmasters call him "the Cruel One"—one look at the Lurker (whom he may have plans for) will tell you why.
    • Each of his minions is horrifying in their own way, and could very well be Big Bads of their own campaign—Stationary Pea is more or less an evil, sorcerous Luffy, combining his Rubber Man abilities with various deadly dark spells. Connor wields a dangerous, evil sword which can obliterate close to anything. And Mud Snake has become a gigantic dragon, her poisonous abilities supplemented by lightning, destructive energy, heightened defenses and flight.
    • ...And then there's Galatea. Freaking Galatea. She's a lot less malicious than many of the others associated with this crowd, but her sheer, freakish power more than makes up for the lack of malice. She is horrifying on account of how overwhelmingly powerful she is. Her entrance caused quakes and lightning storms, she simply pushed a tremendous Sword Beam back into the person who fired it off, and basically shrugged off Rine's whole revenge attack before going for the kill. And we've barely seen anything yet.
  • Speaking of things connected to the Anti-Creator, take one look at the Hozuki and you'll die. They're a Shout-Out the the Winter Lanterns from Bloodborne, and have the same ability to kill people by looking at them. The in-universe explanation for this is that they are an extremely eldritch group of beings who are so wrong that one look at them spells death for a normal person.
  • Alice's Guilt is terrifying indeed, especially when it manifests in Wonderland and spills over into the real world. Black tar is everywhere, and it's caustic, corrupting everything it touches. Disgustingly visceral images dot the landscape, and all the while, the horizon is black and red from ashes and fire...
  • Dr. Neuron is a Knight of Cerebus among the ineffective and insipid membership of The Americorps. The backstage technical help, Dr. Neuron is a Nazi Doctor who escaped death by becoming a floating, cybernetic brain in a bubble that can take over bodies. He apparently used to have Hitler's personal blessing to conduct all sorts of horrible experiments on POW's and political prisoners. The fact someone this hideously evil is now working under a United States President is horrifying and says how far President Sutler is willing to go to preserve his ego and control over the United States.
