In true [adult swim] fashion, The Brak Show has some pretty freaky moments.
- It's Played for Laughs, but the Eldritch Abomination that lurks in Brak's closet as a boogeyman is pretty freaky-looking.
- "Expiration Day" concludes with an unnerving Gainax Ending. A mysterious "liver replication" plot took place while Thundercleese saved the world from a meteor strike. The newscaster reassures his viewers that everything's under control. However, the scene cuts to show Mom, Dad, Brak, and Zorak transformed into giant livers that are Laughing Mad. Hysteria can be heard right throughout the credits.
- Despite being an all-time pro at staring contests, Dad is afraid of one particular opponent: The Eye. True to its name, the entity is a giant floating eyeball that never blinks and seemingly just manifests wherever it pleases, also appearing in The Stinger. Although the effect is dampened by its Fat Albert voice.
- "We Ski in Peace" reveals an underground chamber modeled after the house, which contains Roblox-esque automatons of the family that mindlessly laugh and spew repetitive dialogue. Understandably confused, Mom unwittingly attracts their attention, prompting the automatons to ominously advance onto her and Dad. Good thing that elevator worked.
- "Dinner Party" features Rhonda, FROM THE SEVENTH LEVEL OF YAR. Despite being a Large Ham, she's still a disturbing creature hidden inside a metal box. The only parts of her visible to the viewer are her deranged eyes. Even creepier, we don't know if she imprisoned herself as part of her insane beliefs, or if she was contained for her equally messed-up family's safety.
- The episode's plot is pretty creepy. The neighbors (Rhonda, the nervous Franklin, and their giant baby Winston) invite Brak, Mom, and Dad over for dinner. Thing is, they're planning to kill them so they may eat their flesh. Doesn't get more obvious when Winston tries to convince Brak to stab himself as part of a "game".
- The worm from "Feud" is fairly disturbing, with its large teeth and red eyes. It spends much of its time underground, rising at any moment to feed.
- "Splat" is easily (and deliberately) the creepiest episode of the show. Mom and Dad run over Zorak, resulting in a more gruesome-than-usual-death for the mantis. Mom suddenly takes on unnerving mannerisms, such as playing with Zorak's severed head like a hand puppet. Clarence becomes suspicious and plots to report them. In response, Mom leads him to the basement, violently murders him, and grinds his body into sausages. Even better? The ending reveals "Mom" was actually Brenda, an Ax-Crazy duplicate she believed would make an excellent substitute while she was away.
- Outside the show, Dad was the unfortunate host of Halloween 2003's "We Will Kill You" bumpers. While it's all played for Black Comedy, he suffers quite horribly after the first segment.
- The first death comes from two spiked walls that crush him, splattering the screen with blood. Of course, it doesn't help that he shrugged off the walls closing in on him.
- He's also repeatedly stabbed by throwing knives, gets the top of his head blown off, and geysers blood from his wounds. And then he's smashed by a falling, giant garden gnome.
- One of the ants from "We Ski in Peace" summons hundreds of smaller ants to strip Dad down to his skeleton. His skeleton then calls out the ant for his betrayal of their "gentlemen's agreement".
- A chest-bursting alien tears out of his stomach. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the little monster somehow acquires an automatic and unloads its ammunition on him. The second time this happens is even worse, with Dad and Brak's chest-bursters falling in love after they burst out. They return with a family...and graphically immolate Dad and Brak with flamethrowers.
- Arguably, the nastiest segment has Dad hanged by an unseen assailant. All you can see are his dangling chest and legs. Only the distant wind and his pained grunts accompany the scene. Until his neck finally snaps.
- And to top it off, the finale features a Phantasm like orb that slices Dad to pieces, reducing him to a somehow living head. He's then swallowed by the giant worm from "Feud," whose digestive juices reduce his head to a freaky skull. Which is once again crushed by the giant garden gnome.
- And all throughout these segments, there's the ever-present message of "We will kill you," sometimes uttered by Dad as part of the bit. This finale features Dad's freaky skull screaming said threat in a sudden closeup.
