Nightmare Fuel / Steam Prison

• There are more bad endings than good, and some of them get really disturbing.
  • "Recessive": Drugged by Glissade, fully conscious but unable to move, Cyrus can only watch as Glissade shoots Adage and drags him onto the operating table to cut out his eyes without any kind of sedation or anesthesia, all the while dispassionately explaining how very little Adage ever meant to him. There's no illustration, but the wet, squelching sound effects that accompany the narration, and Adage's agonized screaming, are more than enough to paint the gruesome picture in one's imagination.
• Cyrus's meek police partner, Fin Euclase, is surprisingly chock full of Nightmare Fuel, for two separate reasons.
  • His brutal treatment at the hands of Sachsen, Glissade and the HOUNDS, which broke his mental state terribly, peppered through the game on the second playthrough is probably the most vivid description of torture in the entire game.
  • His subsequent treatment of Cyrus herself and her love interests after being broken is also Nightmare Fuel. Whenever he shows up on screen after the fact, expect copious amounts of Ax-Crazy Yandere.
