- The utterly creepy way that Ygor tells Frankenstein what the Monster was doing when he was struck by lightning.Ygor: He was... hhhunting.
- Ygor in general is an unsettling character. Unlike Bela Lugosi's previous turn as Dracula, who maintained a composed and gentlemanly vibe, Ygor is unquestionably off his rocker. Every second that he is onscreen is absolutely chilling.
- The monster doing Ygor's dirty work by killing the remaining jurors from Ygor's trial. Of particular note is one murder, pictured on the right, that is shown entirely in shadow.
- The look of slowly mounting fiendish glee as the Monster slowly tears little Peter's picture book apart in his hands is both splendid acting and utterly horrifying.
- Peter explaining how he was awoken by "a giant" and the dread that fills Wolf's body as he realizes what had happened while the Inspector can't help but remember what happened when he met "a giant"
