"Didn't ya know, Billy-boy? The rich have always sucked off low-class shit like you!"
- Long before the climax hits the film effectively builds up the dread with surreal and nightmarish imagery. Billy sees his own sister twist her own torso 180 in the shower (so her ass is right under her breasts). Later on an intimate scene with Clarissa is interrupted when Clara grows a third hand—she turns out to be Good All Along, but we don't know that at this point and there's something disturbingly alien about the idea Clarissa finds a stunt like that kinky.
- Once the sickly orange mood lighting kicks on, it's a straight 20 minutes of pure, unadulterated, and very frightening Body Horror until the credits roll.
- The "shunt" is Society's term for a party. What that translates to is a Body Horror murder-orgy; the easily-missed are routinely disappeared so the rich can simultaneously eat and rape them to death with their horrific body-warping abilities. We see the shunt in its full horror in the climax, but even hearing the audio of another, previous shunt is enough to unease.
- It gets even worse when Billy is dragged back into the party downstairs, and most of the guests have melded together into a squirming mass of barely-recognizable body parts while a nightmarishly distorted rendition of the "The Eton Boating Song" plays.
- Poor Dave Blanchard suffers one of the most horrifying deaths in cinema history, and the actor's performance was so disturbing and pitiable that director Brian Yuzna took it upon himself to cut a few seconds of reaction footage... because it freaked him out.
- Ted's death is as disturbing as it was awesome. Billy reaches up inside of him, and turns him inside out!
