"You can't look up... if you don't have eyes."

This game is brought to you by the creative minds behind Bendy and the Ink Machine. That alone should tell you that this is gonna be one hell of a horror fest. Besides, a game featuring puppets is naturally going to be creepy.

Unmarked spoilers ahead!

Chapter One: Showdown Bandit and the Trail of Shadows
  • The implication that Penny removed her own eyes to avoid accidentally looking up.
    • You can also hear her sing the Showdown Bandit Show theme song when she's nearby, or sometimes as you're walking around randomly implying she's there but you can't see her.
  • The fact that even after you get a weapon you can only defend yourself in specific places is this if you consider the implications. At the start of the game Bandit gets tied to the strings implying someone else is controlling him, maybe those places are the only ones where the puppeteer has enough control to actually defend Bandit.
  • The Faceless Bandit. He looks like The Grim Reaper and his M.O. is similar to Bendy.
  • One of the notes you find has a puppet worrying about two of his friends and suspecting they might have hidden themselves behind a Bookcase Passage. If you find it you can find their remains and an Apocalyptic Log.
  • The penultimate room has an advertisement poster for a clown puppet called King Bubu and a pair of clown shoes that take up half of the room. Even considering that clown shoes are supposed to be comically large, King Bubu must be even bigger than the thing in the mines.
  • The ending of episode 1. Bandit walks into the spotlight and the camera changes perspective to behind him and at the audience. The lights turn on, revealing them to be shadowy figures with scary white masks, who watch bandit silently. Then a huge photo-realistic hand comes down from the ceiling and grabs Bandit. The End.
    • This gets even creepier when you paid close attention throughout episode 1. You can see the audience members watching you through multiple slits in the set.
  • Showdown Valley is basically going through a Zombie Apocalypse. There are Stringless, Grieves and Frenzies running around everywhere, Miss Undertaker has to regularly lock the corpses into the graveyard and more and more citizens keep disappearing.
  • The Bandit we play is revealed to be only one in a long line of Bandits Miss Undertaker "unboxed". In fact, you get your weapon by robbing the corpse of your predecessor. What the heck is happening in Showdown Valley that one Bandit after another bites the dust?
  • Even the friendly puppets are a bit too Uncanny Valley to ease the atmosphere. Well-meaning or not, their soulless eyes, echo-y voices and stilted movements can really give you the creeps.
  • King Bubu. Does any more really need to be said?
